Doris Amelia Wiegert

Doris was born on May 18, 1923, in Grand Rapids, the daughter of Arthur and Florence (Thompson) Grawburg.

Doris is preceded in death by her husband, Henry (Bud) Wiegert, her sister Eleanor Spencer, her brother Maurice, her youngest son James and his wife Janet, her sister-in-law Dorothy Payne, her sister-in-law Janet Riley, her granddaughter Tricia Wiegert and her grandson Rhys Wiegert.

She leaves behind her son Tim Wiegert, daughter-in-law Chris Wiegert, granddaughter Stephanie Wiegert, granddaughter (in law) Kim Wiegert, and great grandchildren, Aiden, Riley and Hailey.

A life-long resident of Michigan, Doris grew up in Grand Rapids before settling in southeastern Michigan following her marriage to Henry. Doris was a member of Orchard Lake Community Church, Presbyterian where she was actively involved in the ladies Circle Group and volunteered in various capacities over the years.

In honor of Doris’ wishes, the immediate family held an inurnment service at the church columbarium, Donations may be made to the Stephen Ministry at Orchard Lake Community Church (5171 Commerce Rd., Orchard Lake, MI 48324) whose members loved and ministered to Doris in Jesus name over so many years.
