A man of many passions, Ed lived life with the volume turned up. Music was the soundtrack to his days, whether he was listening to his favorite tracks or sharing a song that reminded him of someone he loved.
His appreciation for horsepower extended to the open road; he was a true car enthusiast who found genuine peace behind the wheel. Over the years, nothing made him smile quite like turning heads in his Eclipse, firing up the engine of his beloved Charger Super Bee, or spending his Saturday mornings walking through local Cars and Coffee shows.
Ed could often be found out on the green. He loved the game of golf—especially the camaraderie, laughs, and friendly competition of playing in his Thursday night league.
Fall weekends were reserved for football. As a passionate fan, he spent his Saturdays cheering on the University of Michigan Wolverines and his Sundays rooted firmly in front of the Detroit Lions games.
Above all his hobbies, Ed’s greatest joy and proudest achievement was his family. He was the ultimate grandpa. His granddaughters, Peyton, Skyler, Alyssa, and Tessa, were the absolute center of his world and they will forever carry his melody in their hearts.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Susan; his devoted sons, Eddie (Jocelyne) Steven (Lindsey), Joe (Taylor); his cherished stepmom, Jodi; his brother, Scot (Cheryl); and his four adored granddaughters, Peyton, Skyler, Alyssa, and Tessa . Ed was preceded in death by his brother Dan and his parents Edward and Lynne. Loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Ed’s life will be held at a later date.
