Edward Henderlong Jr.

Edward Henderlong, age 69, of White Lake, passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2026. Ed retired from Red Laser. He was the former owner of P & E Steel Stairs. Ed also loved to golf. He could often be found on the golf course enjoying the game that he cherished so much. He also found peace and happiness fishing and boating. Of all the joys in his life, nothing meant more to Edward than his family, especially his grandchildren. He treasured every moment spent with them and loved creating memories they will carry forever.

Edward had a special kindness for many young people in the area. He became a stand in father figure to many kids, offering guidance, support and encouragement, whenever it was needed.

He was the loving husband of Susan; father of Kate (Joseph) Murphy, Timothy (Emily) Henderlong; son of Helen and the late Manuel Henderlong, proud grandfather of Joseph, Evelyn, Mason and Sawyer; brother of Debi Anderson, Mary Henderlong and Patrick (Shane) Henderlong; son-in-law of Joan Huffman. He was also survived by several nieces, nephews and close friends and family.

The family will receive visitors from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Rd., White Lake, Michigan 48386. A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors on Wednesday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
