Elaine Mary Werney, age 81 passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2025. Elaine was born in Detroit, Michigan to Eugene and Hildegarde Villeneuve. Elaine attended college for accounting. She worked for Holtzman-Silverman Realty as an accountant for over 26 years before retiring. Elaine met her husband Chuck on a hiking trip at Holly Recreational Area in February of 1982. Elaine liked to hike, bike and canoe. She will be deeply missed by her family.
Beloved wife of Charles Werney; loving mother of Alan Werney; cherished sister of Michelle (Donald Leach) Villeneuve, Joe (Lori) Villenuve, Eugene (Carol) Villeneuve, Hildegarde (Joseph) Barretta, Catherine (Larry) White and Marilyn (Ron) Shier.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, September 25, 2025 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Rd., White Lake, MI 48650. Mrs. Werney will lie in state at the church on Thursday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Interment will be in Holy Sepluchre Cemetery.
