Franco Orsucci, age 71, of Commerce Township, passed peacefully at home on June 6, 2020 after a year long battle with a chronic disease. Born on October 12, 1948 in a small town in northern Italy, he immigrated to Detroit when he was a child. He was a hard worker and deeply committed family man. Franco was quite the character taking his nationality seriously but always having a great sense of humor and infectious laugh. There was nothing that he wouldn’t do for his family and those that were close to him. To say he will be deeply missed is an understatement.

Beloved husband of Mary for 37 years. Loving father of Nicole (Zac) Muir and Cristina (John) Stritmatter. Proud grandfather of Brody, Brayden, Briella, Brecklyn and Cora. Dear brother of Grace (Berto) Nesti and Sandro (Dale) Orsucci. Cherished uncle of many. Franco was preceded in passing by his parents, Rino (2005) and Teresina (2015) Orsucci.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 am (10:00 am in state at church) on Saturday, June, 20, 2020 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386. To honor his memory until then, the next time you have a shot of whiskey, an Italian sandwich or a cannoli offer a “Salute” to Franco Orsucci.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.

We had many fun times together.
He also introduced me to the love of my life my wonderful wife. He was a good man who never had any enemies. May he rest in peace.

Uncle Frank was the most “true to himself” person I think I ever knew. We could all learn something from him about that. A really great Uncle and even better man. I’ll miss you, Uncle Frank, and will do my part to always preserve your memory!

On behalf of everyone at Harry J. Will Funeral Home, I would like to offer my deepest condolences to his family.
Frank would help us out from time to time, and he was always a joy to work with. He was so laid back and calm, even the most stressful situations were easy to get through with him by your side. Frank never got rattled, and always came prepared with a joke or two. He was easy to talk to and had a kind and welcoming spirit. Frank loved people and socializing. There was always an open invitation to Thursday nights at the Italian-American Club. He knew where to get the best food, and the best coffee in any town he was working in and was always up for trying new things.
We will miss him.

UNCLE FRANK, ONE OF KIND FUNNY GUY, WHO LOVED TO SEE US AND ESPECIALLY ON THE FOURTH OF JULY WE WOULD ALL CROWD ONTO THE DECK OF THE HOUSE FOR SOME TAILGATING BEFORE HEADING TO THE BEACHES AND WATCHING THE FIREWORKS! IT WAS A TRADITION FOR ME AND MY KIDS TO VISIT AND THEN HEAD DOWN A FEW STREETS TO DAD'S HOUSE BEFORE THE SHOW. IM GLAD OUR FAMILIES LIVED SO CLOSE, FIVE STREETS APART I THINK. I WILL MISS HIM AND I SEND ALL MY SYMPATHY TO MY AUNT, MY COUSINS AND THEIR FAMILIES. UNCLE FRANK WILL BE MISSED BY ME AND MY FAMILY. MUCH LOVE, KARENA
