Frank Junior Lawson was called home suddenly on Monday, November 18, 2013 at the age of 90. Leaving behind his beloved wife of 67 years, Alice Lawson (Nee Halvorson). The couple married 2/15/1946 in Napoleon, Ohio. They had three children; Arlette Derderian, Dale Lawson, and Penny (George) Hawkins. Frank had nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild. Born April 25, 1923 in Snover, Michigan, to Franklin, and Pearl (Nee Smith). Proceeded him in death were his parents, two brothers; LeRoy Lawson, Harold Lawson, and two sisters; Minnie Schuler, and Lillian Moorish. Frank was survived by two sisters; Evelyn Schmidt and Beatrice Donahue. Frank worked at General Motors before WWII, and returned to General Motors in 1946, after his discharge from the army. He retired after 39 years at General Motors. Frank served his time in Germany, and was involved in the Battle of the Buldge. Frank was a member of Cedar Crest Lutheran Church. Funeral Service will be held Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00a.m. (10:00a.m. In state) at Cedar Crest Lutheran Church. Followed by the burial at Great Lakes National Cemetery, in Holly, MI. Family will receive friends on Thursday November 21, 2013 from 3:00p.m. to 8:00p.m. at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, White lake, MI.
