Gary Colin Proos

November 30, 1948April 13, 2019

Gary C. Proos of Waterford, passed away April 13, 2019 at 70 years of age.

Beloved husband of Brenda. Loving father of Wendy (Ryan) Knape, Ken (Maria) Proos, Angela (Kevin) Pyszora and John (Stefanie) Russell. Proud grandfather of Kaitlyn Knape, Kelsey Knape, Austin Proos, Mya Proos, Hannah Chiaravalli and Luke Cutchins. Son of Virginia Proos. Brother of Dale Proos. He is preceded in death by his father, Colin Proos.

Gary was a retired Army Veteran and an avid golfer. He was the Walled Lake Postmaster for 25 years of his 37 year career with the US Postal Service.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 17, 2019 from 2-8 pm at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road in White Lake.

I am very sorry to learn of Gary’s passing and my prayers and sympathy for the family and friends. As a Union Representative we worked together for many years. Gary was one of the good guys.
