Harry "Cookie" Cook, 90, long-time resident of the Union Lake area and proprietor of Cookie’s Sunoco and Cookie’s Marathon on Telegraph Road, passed away December 31, 2010 in Santa Rosa, California. Loving husband of Martha for 62 years, beloved father of Joseph (Donna) Eckels, Stephen (Jane) Eckels, Patricia (Lawrence) McCloskey, Michael (Janice) Cook, Patricia (Charles) Layton and Harry Frank Cook; loved grandfather of Ronald (Tammy) Bolek, Michael (Eydie) Cook, Margaret (Roger) Watts, Matthew Cook, Mason Cook, Brenda Eckels and James Eckels; great grandfather of Steven and Kailey Bolek, Eppie and Ellie Cook, Charles and Katrina Lacerte, Brandon Watts; dear brother of Betty Jane Messaris. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, January 14, at Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake. Internment will be at noon at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly.
