Jack W. Adams

Jack was born in Plains, Pennsylvania on August 31, 1927. He proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Korean War, an experience that shaped his life long love for America. He supported his country in every way he could, making it a point to buy American-made products whenever possible. His patriotism was evident not only in his words but in the way he chose to live his life. He was also a lifetime member of the VFW Pvt.James Donovan Post 78 in Romulus, Michigan.

Jack enjoyed a long career with General Motors before retiring. Retirement gave Jack more time to devote to the things he loved most. He was a gifted handyman with an exceptional mechanical mind. Jack had an uncanny ability to fix just about anything. Whether it was a lawn mower or a washer and dryer, Jack could be counted on to get it working again.

Jack was also an accomplished bowler. He was competitive and dedicated to the sport. He maintained a 200 average, a testament to both his talent and determination.

At home in Dearborn Heights, Michigan, Jack found peace in tending to his vegetable garden. He would plant hot peppers around the border to keep the critters away from it. Jack took pride in growing beautiful, healthy produce that he shared with his family and neighbors.

Jack was a member of St. Albert the Great Catholic Church in Dearborn Heights for more than 60 years.

Though he could be gruff on the outside, those who knew him understood that beneath his rugged exterior was a kind, generous and caring man with a loving heart that was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He is the beloved husband of Bernadine; loving father of John (Christine) Adams, Richard (Denise) Adams and the late Daniel (Rita Johnson) Adams; grandfather of Jordan (Megan) Adams, Gianna Adams, Kim Adams, and Angela (Jonathan) Adams; and brother of the late Delores Taylor and Eugene Adams.

The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Thursday, July 23, 2026 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Rd., White Lake, MI 48386. Mr. Adams will lie in state at the church from 10:00 am until the time of service.

Burial of Jack's ashes will be at 1:00 pm on August 31, 2026 at Great Lakes National Cemetery under the auspices of the United States Army.
