Born on June 5, 1942, in Pontiac, MI, Jack was the cherished son of Virginia (nee Valentine) and Charles Larzelere. On December 18, 1982, he joined hands in marriage with Judith C Larzelere (nee Tittiger), celebrating a union filled with love and devotion for 42 years.
The Larzelere family's journey to the United States from Brussels, Belgium, marked the beginning of a legacy, with their surname transformed from La Resiliere to Larzelere. Jack served his country with honor and distinction, demonstrating his bravery as a veteran of the US Army and Navy during the Gulf War era, Peacetime, and Vietnam era.
A devout member of the St. James parish in Fenton, Michigan, Jack's faith was central to his life. His commitment to service extended beyond the pews as he embraced the ideals of the Knights of Columbus, passionately supporting charitable and religious causes. Jack's unwavering patriotism and staunch conservative beliefs defined him, exemplifying his dedication to his country.
In his leisure moments, Jack found solace in the pages of comic strips, particularly drawn to the wit and humor of characters like Snoopy, Peanuts, and Pogo. His love for literature mirrored his zest for life, enriched by engaging conversations with individuals of diverse perspectives. He also took great pride in taking his nieces and nephews on outings, some of the most memorable being trips to the zoo, the State Fair, and circuses and carnivals.
Jack and his beloved wife, Judith, shared a passion for advocacy, standing firmly with the Right to Life movement. Together, they marched in Washington DC, attended numerous conventions, and traversed the country, united in their pursuit of justice.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents Charles and Virginia Larzelere; siblings Eugene Raymond (Sylvia) Larzelere, Gordon Charles Larzelere, Mary Margaret Pearse, Dale David Larzelere, and Richard Arthur Larzelere.
Along with his beloved wife Judith, Jack is survived by his siblings Helen Eilene Larzelere and Michael Louis (Bonnie) Larzelere; sister-in-laws Nancy Larzelere, Catherine Larzelere, and Pattie Larzelere; brother-in-law Dennis Pearse; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation for Jack will be held on Friday, June 7, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, located at 1233 Union Lake Rd, White Lake, MI 48386. Instate will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am with Funeral Mass beginning at 10:00 am on Saturday, June 8, 2024 at St. Patrick Catholic Church, located at 9086 Hutchins Rd, White Lake Charter Township, MI 48386.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Knights of Columbus or Right to Life Michigan.
Jack's absence leaves a void in the hearts of his family and friends, who will forever cherish his memory. His legacy of love, service, and unwavering conviction will continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing him.
