

She is survived by her son, Robert Dale (Misty) Bazela, her granddaughter, Alle Bazela, and a village of friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, R. Dale and Edna Chilton, and her sister, Mary.
Jeanie was a free spirit who aspired to travel the world with beach destinations at the forefront. She was embodied by the phrase, “water is her soul.” Whether pontooning on the lake, sailing with friends, or watch the sunset sink in that water, she found a sense of peace and joy.
She loved live music, dancing, and playing the tambourine. Jeanie loved meeting new people and made friends everywhere she went. Her energy was contagious, leaving those around her with lasting memories of her warmth and spirit.
Jeanie graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. in Medical Laboratory Science. She went on to become an accomplished medical sales representative earning several achievement awards along the way. Later in her career, she pursued her passion for real estate and became a licensed realtor.
She lived fully and embraced life with openness and courage. She leaves behind a legacy of curiosity and love for her family and friends.
A Memorial Mass will take place on May 29th, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Parish Church on 9086 Hutchins Rd, White Lake, MI 48386. The family will receive friends and loved ones for Memorial Visitation from 10 to 11 am prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to one of the charities she was passionate about, Haven House.
