John K. Conner

John K. Conner, of White Lake passed away July 27, 2011 at 82 years of age surrounded by his loving family. He will be reunited with his loving wife Elnora whom he married on May 27, 1954. Loving Father of Kendra (Bob) Klein, Sheila (Donald) McNeil, Karen L. Conner, Shawn (Jim Spitsen) Conner. Dearest Grandfather of Joshua (Shannon) Klein, Jeremy Klein, Christopher (Stephanie) McNeil, Shawn Patrick Conner, William Conner, Matthew Conner and Jay Hensler; Cherished Great Grandfather of Natalee, Cannen McNeil, Owen Greig and Rileigh Klein, John was the son of the late Gordon and Artha (Massie) Conner and was the last remaining sibling of Lois Conner of Daniels West Virginia. Mr. Conner served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War with the 101st Airborne Division as a paratrooper. He retired from the Pontiac Motor Division of General Motors after 43 years of service. John was an ordained Baptist Deacon, a loving family man with a kind and gentle soul. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2011 at the Elton Black and Son funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Rd., White Lake. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 -7 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be in Great Lakes National Cemetery where he will be laid next to his lovely wife Elnora.
