

Joseph Lawrence Mott Sr. passed away on February 21, 2015. He was a proud Army Veteran who served honorably in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart. He enjoyed being an active member of the Lions Club International serving as a district President for several years. A loyal and die hard Detroit Lions Football fan and all around sports enthusiast. As a Carpenter for over 50 years, he built many homes in Oakland County where he resided with his family for most of his life. He is survived by his beloved partner, George Dickens III; Adoring Father of Amee (Thomas) Kuzniarski, Lynette (DJ) Lawson, Joseph (Rebecca) Mott Jr., and Nicholas (Trudy) Mott; Grandfather of Aleksander Kuzniarski, Jenna Lawson, Allison Kuzniarski, Andrew Kuzniarski, and Raegan Mott.; Much loved brother of Robert Mott, Sherry Nieminen, Wayne Mott, Pam Campbell, Denise Harrell, Doreen Szymanski, and Jim Mott.
He was preceded in death by his loving parents, Robert and Dorthy Mott; his brothers Gary, Donald and Gordy Mott; his granddaughter Jillian Lawson, and his wife, Linda Mott and former wife, Judith Mott. Memorial Visitation will be from 10:00am – 1:00pm on Saturday, February 28, 2015 at the White Lake Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home (1233 Union Lake Rd., White Lake, Michigan, 48386) with the services at 1:00pm.
