Judith DeBoer

Judith Lynn DeBoer, age 82, of Grand Blanc, Michigan, passed away on July 26, 2026. She was born on January 17, 1944, in Waterford, Michigan, and lived a life marked by love, creativity, and devotion to the people who meant the most to her.

Judith was the beloved wife of the late Gearld DeBoer, whom she married on February 25, 1961, in Pontiac, Michigan. Their marriage was built on a lifetime of shared memories, steadfast commitment, and the kind of partnership that served as a foundation for their family. She carried herself with quiet strength and grace, and those who knew her will remember the warmth and kindness she shared so freely. She was loving, creative, and gentle, and these qualities were reflected in the way she cared for others throughout her life.

She was a devoted mother to Julia DeBoer, Roger DeBoer and his wife Cathy, Joanne Wickman, and Christine Napier. Judith took great pride in her children and treasured the role of mother above all else. Her love for her family was steady and unconditional, and she found her greatest joy in the lives and accomplishments of her children. She was also a cherished grandmother to Valerie DeBoer, Jake Teelander, Matthew Wickman and his wife Alyssa, Ashley Wickman, Alison Guzzardo and her husband Tommy, Sherman Napier and his wife Taylor, and Jerry Napier. In addition, she was a proud great-grandmother to Khloe Lenover, Raelynn Lenover, Reina Napier, and Rylee Napier. Her family brought her immeasurable happiness, and she will be remembered for the deep and abiding love she gave to each generation.

Judith was also the sister of Sharon Elliott. Family ties were important to her throughout her life, and she valued the bonds that connected her to those she loved. She was a source of encouragement, comfort, and support, and her presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.

In her professional and community life, Judith served as a charter member of the HUD housing program in Wayne County, West Virginia. She was also a longtime Lioness in Walled Lake and Wixom, Michigan. Her involvement in these organizations reflected her commitment to service and her desire to help others. She believed in doing what she could to make her community stronger, and she gave her time and energy with sincerity and dedication.

Judith had many interests that brought beauty and joy to her life. She loved crafting and the arts, especially painting, and she expressed her creativity in ways that reflected her gentle spirit. She also enjoyed working in her beautiful flower garden, where she found peace and satisfaction in caring for growing things. She was a rock collector, and she appreciated the simple beauty found in the natural world. Her favorite color was yellow, a fitting reflection of the warmth and brightness she brought to those around her.

Those who knew Judith will remember her as a woman of kindness, patience, and quiet creativity. She lived with purpose and cared deeply for her family, her home, and her community. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, in the memories shared by her loved ones, and in the example she set through her loving and gentle nature.

Judith Lynn DeBoer will be dearly missed and forever remembered with love and gratitude by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
