Kathleen R. Barry

Kathleen R. Barry, age 89 of White Lake passed away April 13, 2013. Beloved wife of the late John. Loving mother of Jack (Mary Jane), Fred (Katherine) and JoAnn (David) Edwards (nee Barry). Proud grandmother of Jeanne, Robin, John, Eileen, Patrick, Michael, and Melissa. Proud great-grandmother of 10. Dear sister of Bernadette Tourangeau. Catholic religion was very central to Kaye’s life, as well as her close relationship to her extended family and her Irish heritage. Kaye was a former member of the Detroit Curling Club and an avid golfer who followed politics very closely. Kaye enjoyed dancing with her husband, John, with whom she had a love affair that began before World War II. During her last 2 years, Kaye enjoyed making wonderful new friends at Independence Village in White Lake. Visitation Tuesday, April 15th from 3-8pm at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Rd., White Lake. In State 10am Wednesday, April 16th at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins, White Lake, with 11am Funeral Mass to follow. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
