I have been avoiding writing in the guest book for a while now. In truth, I never wanted to believe that she was gone. She helped my brother a lot when he was in his class, and definantly went above and beyond for me when i was in her class 2 years ago. The class that would become her last 1st hour. She helped me so much with getting my homework in, not only in her class, but in others as well. I cried for hours after her death and still cry occasionally to this day. She had such a big impact on everyone she met. I am blessed to have had her and known her in the short time i did. She was the best teacher anyone could have. Few people rarely have a  teacher like Mrs. Kalinski in their life time, and i was blessed to have been one of them. R.I.P Mrs. Kalinski.

Mrs.Kalinski was the best 7th grade social studies teacher ever i miss her so much.

One of the best teachers I have ever had, and it was always a pleasure to talk to you whenever you were around the church. Thank you.

I worked with Katie more than 12 years ago. I am blessed for having known her over my first years of teaching. She was passionate and supportive co-worker. Her enthusiasm and kindness will always be in my heart. You will be truly missed, Katie. God bless your family.

Mrs. Kalinski was an amazing teacher.  I had many hard days at Abbott.  With tears in my eyes she gave me her special hug that washed away the pain from the bully.  She encouraged me to not give up no matter how hard the math problem was. I feel blessed to have known her and even though it has been many years since I last saw her I know I will miss her forever.  I love you, Mrs. Kalinski and thank you for everything you did for me.  I know I will see you again in our Heavenly kingdom.

God sends you that special person in that perfect time and place. Katie and I found each other in that perfect time. I think of you often and will miss you. Kayla and Lucas, you will forever be in my prayers.

Katie was a godsend for my children as they navigated the tumultuous middle school years. Her gentle guidance left a permanant mark on their lives. Her grace in dealing with the adversity in her own life exemplifies the philosophy she passed on to countless students, colleagues and friends. We are all better people for knowing her. It's hard to understand why such a beautiful person would be taken so early in life.  Heaven must have needed one more angel.  Katie, you were such a caring, kind friend that battled cancer with such courage.  You are an inspiration to everyone who knew you. Katie... was PURE Radiance and sunshine...Although we shared a High School existence , her personality, warmth, and spirit, continued to shine brilliantly in my memories for a very long time, until reuniting again at our recent class reunion.  It was a thrill to share with her and learn about her commitment with teaching and kids.  She made you feel special just for knowing her and being in her presence.  I am so glad she had touched my life and will be better for the knowing.  To her family... Mrs. Kalinski was a positive influence in my life during a turbulent period.  She was more than a teacher to me, but someone who I felt I could trust with just about anything.  It saddens me to hear of her passing, but I know that the world is better because of the lives she's touched.

Sometimes God puts people in our lives to show us His grace, kindness and love.  Katie was that person to all who knew her.  It was my privilege to know Katie as a colleague and a friend.  Her gentle spirit as a teacher was witnessed countless times by the thousands of children who were her students.  Her loyalty, great sense of humor and compassion to her friends was without measure.  Her family was her greatest joy. May her example of kindness, strength and courage guide them always.  Katie, you are in God's arms.  Rest in peace, my dear friend.

Mrs. Kalinski was by far one of my greatest teachers. She had a way of making things easy for everyone and that is a difficult task. I know I will miss her and I will never forget the amazing impact she had on every person she met.
