The Zoner family thanks everyone, Mom would smile and be so pleased of the response. 
Once we talked about her funeral, she told me not to make a big thing about it because at her age all her friends were past.  Its the only thing that I think she was wrong about, for over a 100 years she has touched so many people, the friend list is very long.

Aunt Marion was simply one of the kindest people I have ever known.  Her smile, laugh, and way she said "hello" will stay with me forever!  She will be missed by all who had the good fortune of knowing her...

I will miss Mrs. Zoner dearly.  I have been cutting her lawn for over 20 years.  I always looked forward to cutting her lawn---not because it was an incredible lawn---but because I got to talk to an incredible person.  Either I would stop, if I saw her first, or she would wave me up, or one of the girls would stop and say"Marion wants to say Hello".  If I didn't see her I would worry if she was doing alright.  I don't quite know what it was but, the conversations were heartfelt and meaningful.  Such an interesting person and kind soul.  People like that are extremely rare---and the people who knew her know what I'm talking about.  I wish there were more Angels like Marion Zoner.

Marion's studio was the place to be on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.  We shared stories, laughed, talked about family, things on tv and interesting articles we had read, all while painting.  We watched Marion demonstate how to create clouds or how to add shadows around and underneath flowers to make them pop with the majic of her hand and brush.  Saturday and Wednesday mornings were sharing times with friends. Her studio was a warm and loving place, and our Marion made it so. We are blessed to have had her in our lives as a friend, a teacher and mentor. Marion was a lady small in stature, yet a lady of great strength, love, and most of all grace.

Her light was brighter than any flower could be
She'll shine forever inside of me
The gift of her life was a gift to us all
Her joyful spirit we will always recall

Marion was a very special lady.  I loved her infectious smile and laughter.  I knew Marion when we worked together in the Zonta Club of Milford.  I did not see her in recent years but thought of her many times.  She was truly an inspiration to all who knew her.  My sympathy goes out to all the family.  Thelma Armstrong Highland, MI

I'm so happy to say that Marion is right at the top of my list of truly great people I've had the privilege of knowing. In the past year, I've learned a great many things about a life well lived from Mrs. Z. Thank you, my friend! My thanks to the Zoner family for allowing me to be a part of her life.

Marion will always have a special place in my heart.  Those of us lucky enough to have experienced her positive encouragement and expert art instruction have been truly blessed.  Marion has earned her wings - but we will miss our friend and teacher.

Marion was such a beautiful lady.  Her warm smile greeted everyone, always.  She was so appreciative of any phone calls, letters, or visits. I was so fortunate to have her in my life, as a dear friend and loving art teacher. She inspired everyone she met.  I loved her with all my heart.

Marion won't have to change in heaven; she's been an angel on earth as long as I've known her.  She didn't just teach painting, she taught me how to live life.  Marion was always thrilled to talk to every person and when you were with her she was happy, enthused and full of life.  She'll always be part of me and I'll see her each time I look at my paintings

Dear Tom Zoner and family,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Marion.  She was an amazing woman and did so much for our community.  She will now and forever be known as "Citizen of the Year" and an inspiration for all of us to live fuller, deeper and mire giving lives.  God Bless!

Marion is sharing her extraordinary spirit and spark still.  Such an inspirational lady.  Here in Virginia, I think of her often as she was THE ONE who recognized my artistic talent and encouraged me when I was a beginner at 14.  My aunt Chico Cody (RIP) took me with her to Marion's art class and Marion made a lasting impression on my life.  RIP Marion, and Aunti Chico.  Hope you are both enjoying beauty together. Please know that my thoughts are with you and your wonderful family.  I loved Marion like a mom. I will miss the person she was - Sweet, Gentle, always kind.  She never had a harsh word or criticism for anyone.  I painted with her for 35 years and cherished every moment.
I never missed a Saturday art class unless I was on vacation.  We will miss her so very much, not just as our teacher- but as our friend.
