Martin Robert Povlitz

Marty is survived by Jorja, his significant other of 30 years, and children Randy Hetherington, Mark Hetherington (Jamie), Holly Booth (Doug), and their grandchildren Ruby Hetherington, Sam and Max Hetherington, Alex, Austin, and Adam Booth. He is also survived by siblings David Povlitz (Fran), Charles Povlitz (Marilyn), Dionne Warrick (Jim), and many loving nieces and nephews. Marty is preceded in death by his parents Robert Povlitz and Alika (Keros) Povlitz and brother, Robert Povlitz II (Jackie).

Marty touched so many people’s lives with his smile, genuine concern for others, and his positive outlook on life. He was a gift to all and will certainly be missed, but never forgotten. If there ever was a benchmark "Grandpa" and friend, Marty was the one. He was a retired business owner and an avid golfer, winning the club championship at Bay Pointe Golf Club in 2000. Marty loved fishing, boating, and motorcycling.

There will be a memorial acknowledgment of Marty on Sunday, December 19, 2021 at

St. Patrick Catholic Parish. Masses will be held at 8:00 am and 10:00 am and 12 noon. The Parish address is 9086 Hutchins Road, White Lake, Michigan 48385.
