

Mary Ellen Archambeau, aged 81, passed away on February 18, 2026. A cherished wife, devoted mother, loving sister, and treasured grandmother, Mary Ellen was born on January 21, 1945, in Detroit, Michigan. A resident of Commerce Township, Mary Ellen was a source of joy, humor, and compassion to all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Mary Ellen was the beloved daughter of the late John and Barbara Foss. She was predeceased by her parents, whose memory she cherished throughout her life. She married her devoted husband, Myron Archambeau, with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage, filled with laughter, adventures, and unwavering support.
Together, Mary Ellen and Myron built a beautiful family. She leaves behind her two loving daughters, Lori (Todd) Jacobs and Kristi (Kevin) Emens, who were the pride and joy of her life. Mary Ellen was a fiercely loving grandmother, often regaling everyone she met with stories of her adored grandchildren: Elizabeth, Abigail, and Alexis Emens, and Seth and Noah Jacobs. Her playful spirit and sarcastic humor brought smiles and laughter to each family gathering, creating treasured memories that will be held close to the hearts of her loved ones.
Mary Ellen shared a special bond with her siblings, her brother John Foss, and her sister Janice Underwood. She was cherished by her sisters-in-law, Maryann (the late Jim) Sligay and Marlene Archambeau, with whom she shared many fond family moments.
Her career as a medical assistant was a testament to her caring nature and her desire to help those in need. She offered kindness and comfort to countless patients, treating each with the dignity and respect they deserved.
She was an avid reader, and had a true love for beaches and cruises, particularly those to the Caribbean. A Mediterranean cruise through Italy was among her treasured experiences, as was spending time at the family cottage in Caseville, delighting in time by the water.
Mary Ellen found joy in connecting with her high school friends and sharing stories of her beloved grandchildren. She left a lasting impression on everyone she encountered.
Friends and family are invited to gather at the Elton Black and Son White Lake Chapel at 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386, from 3-7:00 PM on February 26th, 2026. A Memorial Mass in honor of Mary Ellen's life will be held on February 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM with a 10:00 AM in-state hour at St. Patrick Catholic Parish Church, located at 9086 Hutchins Rd, White Lake, MI 48386.
