For Matthew and Family

There are moments in life
that arrive without warning…
and change the shape of everything.
This is one of those moments.
A life that was here
laughing, loving, walking beside us
now moves in a different way.
And yet… he does not feel gone.
It lingers...
in the stories that rise so easily,
in the way his name is spoken
and something warm and aching
fills the chest at the same time.
Matthew was woven into all our lives
in ways that cannot be undone.
In friendship.
In family.
In the quiet, ordinary moments
that now feel anything but ordinary.
Love like that does not disappear.
It shifts…
becoming something we carry
instead of something we can reach for.
And grief...
as heavy as it feels
is only there
because that love was real,
and deep,
and shared.

May you feel him
in the spaces where laughter returns,
in the memories that rise without effort,
in the quiet moments
when you least expect it.
He is not where he was…
but he is not far.
He lives on
in each of you,
in the love that remains,
in the threads that cannot be broken.
And that love…
will continue to hold.

Here’s to many fun Saturday nights spent at CLI! To an amazing and great guy!!! Such a joy to be around. We all so enjoyed hanging out with you!! You will be dearly missed. RIP my friend

I met Matt 2 yrs ago and I would tell
You I felt we had been friends for a lifetime. What an amazing guy! A friend who was there for anything! He is that guy you know you can always count on. He always brought a smile and a good time. I truly will miss him and his kind spirit and genuine friendship. You will  missed my friend

I can remember for many years having a reunions or get togethers with some of the Landinos and all the kids and all the aunts and uncles their families. Matt has continued this with his siblings, their traditions of family get together's. He enjoyed his work and as others have said and other activities. May God be with his whole family. May some of their great memories bring them some comfort.

Matt had a way of walking into a room like a spark catching dry kindling—suddenly everything was brighter, louder, funnier. He was the life of the party without trying, just being himself and somehow making every moment feel alive.

I’ll always hold onto the countless times he turned ordinary days into something unforgettable. Whether it was a perfectly timed joke or just being his wonderfully ridiculous self, he made everything lighter. He made everything better.

He was always somewhere in the background goofing off, especially when Teresa and Jim were filming for the theatre—never missing a chance to add extra chaos and laughter. And of course, keeping an eye on him around Chuck was a must… because in his eyes, Chuck was the greatest dog, and I’m still not convinced he wouldn’t have tried to sneak him home one day (and Chuck would have gone).

I’ll miss the little rituals too—like scooping him an ice cream cone, our unspoken trade for whatever he had just helped fix in the shop. He always showed up when something needed attention, offering his knowledge so freely, like it was just another way he cared for the people around him.

And those conversations, especially about moving the crash site… he knew exactly how to wind me up, and I can still feel my eyes rolling while he grinned, completely satisfied with himself. That was Matt—equal parts instigator, teacher, and joy-bringer.

Matt and Teresa had a bond impossible not to notice—the kind built on shared jokes, secret plans, and little mischievous ways only they understood. Watching them together was like seeing a private world full of laughter & clever schemes. They were a duo you couldn’t help but love.

My heart aches knowing there won’t be more evenings of people-watching up north, laughing with him as the world passed by. Those moments feel even more precious now.

Sending all my love to his family. He will be missed more than words can hold. From me—and from Chuck, who knows he just met the best human ever.

Many of my childhood memories included the Landino's - Pete & Pinky, Ann Marie, Tim, Matt and Teresa.  My Dad was fond of creating nick names for each kid.

We laughed together, got in trouble together (us kids), watched the 
3 Stooges together and helped forgetful Timmy find his missing shoes. We did a good chunk of our childhood with the family and our parents were dear friends. 

Matt was the quiet kid who had a love of keys. He would walk around with this huge wring of keys that were clearly heavy. I was fascinated by it and so was he.

Perhaps it was his own fascination with unlocking doors that led him into his career. 

Unexpected losses like this make no sense at all. 

Our prayers and our love go out to whole Landino family.

So sorry for your loss. Matt touch many with his friendliness and welcoming personality.  I know he loved his family he spoke of them with kindness.

i’ve had he pleasure of waiting on matt & his friends at CLI  on saturdays for the band. he will be greatly missed, his smile, laughs and jokes. he has pictures in his phone with us to document “his most favorite bartenders” Such a kind man, my condolences to the family. he became more than a customer & more of a friend. i’m so sorry for your loss.

My condolences to the family. I will always remember (well sort of) the year we spent St . Patrick’s day together! He was such a great person. He will be missed. Rest in peace Uncle Matty.
