

Michael was the beloved husband of Laurie, with whom he shared 42 years of marriage. Together they built a loving family and a life filled with cherished memories. He was the proud father of Michael (Deborah) Hoobler II and Bryan Hoobler. Michael was the treasured son of Charles and Carol Hoobler and the dear half-brother of Mimi (Terry) Vidrine and Bruce Pourciau, Jr. He will also be remembered with love by many aunts, uncles, extended family members, and his loyal companion and grand-dog, Boomer.
Michael honorably served his country as a member of the United States Army, completing two tours in Germany. His service was a source of great pride to both him and his family. Beyond his military service, Michael was a hardworking man who dedicated himself to providing for his family and setting an example of perseverance, integrity, and love.
In his free time, Michael enjoyed collecting coins, a hobby that reflected his attention to detail and appreciation for history. He was also an avid outdoorsman who loved hunting and fishing, finding peace and joy in nature.
Above all, Michael’s greatest joy came from his family. He was a devoted husband and a wonderful father whose love was steady and unconditional. His legacy of love, strength, and kindness will live on through those who were blessed to know him. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
There will be a Celebration of Life on Sunday, October 5, 2025 from 12:00 pm until 4:00 pm at the Gathering at the Lakes, 900 Round Lake Road in White Lake. Burial along with Military Honors will be held on Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at 12 12:30 pm on at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Road in Holly, Michigan.
