Nancy Ella Hoyt, age 90, of White Lake, Michigan, passed away peacefully on May 14, 2026. She was born on July 11, 1935, in Pontiac, Michigan, to Julian and Helen Bradburn, and lived a life marked by love, gentleness, generosity, and devotion to her family.
Nancy was the beloved wife of the late Wayne Hoyt, who preceded her in death on December 3, 2025, after 67 years of marriage. Nancy and Wayne were united in marriage on May 17, 1958, in Pontiac, Michigan, and together they built a beautiful life centered on faith, family, and a loving home. Their long marriage was a true partnership, and Nancy treasured the many years they shared side by side.
She was a loving mother to Debbie Casselbury and her late husband James, Steve Hoyt and his wife Angie, and Sandi Ratliff and her husband Doug. Nancy was a dear grandmother to Matthew Hoyt and his wife Alexis, Greg Ratliff and his wife Renee, Jennifer Hoyt, and Kyle Ratliff. She was also a proud great-grandmother of seven, and her family brought her immeasurable joy throughout her life. Nancy is also survived by her brother, Bob Bradburn and his late wife Callie. Her family will forever remember her as the heart of the home, where love and faith were always present.
Nancy was an amazing homemaker who found great happiness in caring for her family and creating a warm and welcoming home. She had a gift for making ordinary moments feel special, and she took pride in the comfort and beauty she provided for those she loved. Her home was a place of kindness, laughter, and steadfast devotion, and she made certain that everyone who entered felt cared for and cherished.
She enjoyed sewing and cross-stitch, and she spent many peaceful hours creating with her hands. Nancy also loved painting ceramics and was a talented diamond art creator. She had a sharp mind and especially enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches, which reflected both her intelligence and her patience. She also found joy in birdwatching, especially when the birds visited her feeder, and she held a special fondness for the hummingbirds that came to her yard. These simple pleasures brought her happiness and reflected the quiet, thoughtful way she lived her life.
Most importantly to Nancy was her family. She loved spending time with them and was happiest when her home was filled with the warmth of togetherness, love, and faith. Her gentle spirit and generous heart touched everyone who knew her, and she leaves behind a legacy of devotion that will continue through the generations of her family.
The family would like to acknowledge and thank the staff at Independence Village of White Lake and CorsoCare home health for the wonderful care provided. Their kindness and support were deeply appreciated.
Nancy Ella Hoyt will be remembered with love and gratitude by all who were blessed to know her. Her life was a beautiful example of faithfulness, tenderness, and unwavering love for her family. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
