Patricia Ann Crowley, affectionately known as Pat, age 88, passed away on April 17, 2026, in Commerce Township, Michigan. She was born on January 21, 1938, in Detroit, Michigan, and lived a life marked by love, devotion, and a warm spirit that touched everyone who knew her.
Pat was the beloved wife of the late Patrick, and together they built a life centered on family, shared adventures, and the simple joys that make lasting memories. She was the loving mother of Colleen Crowley, the late Kelley Crowley, Christopher (Shanda) Crowley, Joseph Crowley, Sr., and the late Shannon Crowley. Her family was the center of her world, and she embraced her role with unwavering dedication, strength, and grace.
She was a proud grandmother to Joseph Crowley, Jr., Lindsey (Brian) Smith, MSgt. Casey (Jara) Crowley, Dusty (Emily) Crowley, Courtney (Shannon) Crowley, Kristin (Greg) Fernandez, August Crowley, and Ian (Emma) Crowley. Pat also cherished her great-grandchildren, Connor Smith, Keane Crowley, Jude Madson, Jon Madson, Caroline Crowley, Lincoln Crowley, and Kailyn Crowley, each of whom brought her great joy and pride. She treasured every moment spent with her growing family and found her greatest happiness in being surrounded by those she loved.
Pat was the sister of Ruth (Frank) Gibbons and the sister-in-law of Jerry (Annie) Crowley and Carol (Tom) Crowley-Stempien. She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family members, and friends who will remember her with deep affection and gratitude.
Pat was a loving, friendly, and gentle woman whose personality made others feel welcome and cared for. She was an avid reader and enjoyed keeping up with the Detroit sports teams, especially the Lions and Tigers. She had a spirited love for games and was especially known for her skill at pinochle, Yahtzee, and checkers. She never played softly and never let the children win, which only added to the fun and laughter that followed her wherever she went.
She was not a homemaker in the ordinary sense, but rather a domestic goddess and a mother and grandmother extraordinaire. Pat took great pride in creating a home filled with warmth, good food, and love. She and Patrick shared many adventures together, and they especially enjoyed canning vegetables, a pastime that reflected both their partnership and their appreciation for the simple, meaningful traditions of life. Her laughter was infectious and notable, and it will remain one of the most cherished memories for all who knew her.
Pat lived her life with devotion to her family and a genuine love of people. She had a generous heart, a gentle manner, and a way of making others feel valued. Her presence brought comfort, her humor brought joy, and her love brought strength to those around her. She will be remembered for the example she set through her caring nature, her loyalty, and the deep bonds she formed with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, siblings, extended family, and friends.
Those who knew Pat will remember a woman who loved deeply, laughed freely, and gave of herself without hesitation. Her legacy lives on in the family she cherished, the traditions she helped create, and the many lives she brightened along the way. She will be dearly missed and forever remembered with love.
