HATHAWAY, PAUL LAWRENCE JR. of White Lake, Michigan. January 6, 2018; age 90. Preceded in death by his loving wife of nearly 60 years, Barbara. Born in Waterloo, Iowa as an only child and the son of an orphan, he was concerned about legacy in his youth. His unease is alleviated by his surviving four sons, Stephen, Timothy, Thomas, and Paul III, along with eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Having earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Methodist University, Paul worked for Chance Vaught, Rohr Corp. and retired as President, University International in San Diego, California. He loved golf, football and baseball, and the beaches of La Jolla, California. Private interment will be at Restland in Dallas, Texas.
