Peggy Flowers Lewis, age 79, of White Lake, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, December 29, 2018. She was a beautiful soul who touched everyone with her kindness, grace and loving spirit.

She was known for her blunt honesty but also her gracious heart. She was always thinking of others. With Grandma Peggy at the table, the last piece of the pie was yours.

She loved to cook and she was really good at it. We were always greeted with a warm smile and plenty of good food. She was a great combination of tough and tender. She loved fishing with her husband, Chuck, on Lake Huron near Drummond Island. She loved garage-saling and shopping for a good deal; she loved people; but most of all she loved her Lord in Heaven where she now resides.

She was the one responsible for our very existence, but now somehow we must find our way in life without her. She did not have a high school diploma but she taught us more than any college professor ever could. Mama, there is an empty chair in your house and a void in our hearts but your life and memory will live with us forever.

Beloved wife of Charles “Chuck” Lewis. Loving mother of Rocky (Cindy) Pauley, Terry (Darla) Pauley, Cheri Cash, Chuck (Laura) Lewis and Tim (Angie) Lewis. Proud grandmother of Joshua Cash, Adam Cash, Aaron Cash, Nathan (Ashley) Cash, Sarah Cash, T.J. (Kristin) Pauley, Justin (Ashleigh) Pauley, Kristen (Clay) Tyson, Kevin (Sydney) Pauley, Rachel Pauley, Rocky Pauley Jr., Maressa Lewis, Malayna Lewis and Timothy Hunter Lewis. Treasured great-grandmother of Isaiah Pauley, Adeline Pauley, Livia Pauley, Milo Pauley, Lola Pauley, Weston Tyson, Harlow Tyson, Holden Tyson, Jacob Cash, Lucas Cash, Dakota Pauley, Sunny Love Pauley. Dear sister of Allen (Freda) Flowers. Peggy was preceded in passing by her parents, Ectlis and Lena Flowers; brother, Gerald Flowers.

Peggy and Chuck have been fishing guests of mine for over 20 years. I shared the same birthday with Peggy(May 13), and they often booked trips aboard my charter boat on or near that date. Peggy was one of the most pleasant people I have ever met, and I will miss talking to her. The blessing that people like us have is that we have faith and know that life does not end here, and that helps us get through difficult times. God Bless the Lewis family.

The tribute says it all. Peggy was my "Aunt" as much as she was my husband's. I'll never forget our heart-to-heart talks, her kindness and honesty. She was a blessing to all who knew her. She will be sorely missed. My love to the entire family.

This obituary is just beautiful, and it is perfect for Aunt Peggy. She was such an amazing woman, and I feel so lucky to have had her in my life. This woman brought so much joy and love to everyone. Aunt Peggy was such a powerful life force, and people were immediately drawn to her. It reminds me of that expression..,To know her, is to love her. That's what it was like with Aunt Peggy. Everyone who knew her simply loved her.

Aunt Peggy, Life won't be the same without you in it, but thank you for always being there for me and the rest of the family. Rest in peace, my Dear Aunt.
