Peggy C, McLeod, age 76, of Montgomery, Texas passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, August 4, 2024.
Beloved wife of Ed McLeod for 57 years. Loving mother of Matthew (Tiffany) McLeod, Daniel (Dorothy) McLeod and James McLeod. Proud grandmother (Mimi) of Nicholas, Shea, and Dylan. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Peggy was born December 26th, 1948 in Detroit Mi. At age 18 she began her lifelong career in nursing where she devoted her entire life to the help and support of others. This passion extended well beyond nursing and included everyone she met, without limit or hesitation. She was an inspiration to everyone and loved unconditionally. In addition, she was a very creative and talented artist and would frequently create elaborate quilts for family and friends “just because” she felt they needed one.
Peggy’s life was a testament to the beauty of a life well-lived, the lives she touched, and the love she shared. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her legacy will bloom eternally in the hearts of those who knew her. Visitation for Peggy C. McLeod will take place at Elton Black and Son Funeral Home (3295 E. Highland Road, Highland, MI 48356) on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 from 1:00 (family) 2:00-8:00 pm for public. There will be a Rosary, Eulogy and a “Time for Sharing” beginning at 6pm. Providence’s Nurse Honor Guard ceremony will take place during the visitation, All nurses will be invited to stand as part of the tribute to Peggy.
A memorial mass will take place on Thursday, August 29th at 11:00 am at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 9086 Hutchins Road in White Lake, MI (visitation at church from 10:00 until 11:00)
Immediately following the service, she will be laid to rest at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
