Richard D. Schultz, age 83, of White Lake; passed away peacefully at home on January 9, 2012. Richard retired from General Motors after 51 years of dedicated service. He will be sadly missed for being the best mother and father to his children as well as being generous to his family, friends and even strangers. He enjoyed playing card games and traveling up-North to Hog Island in the Upper Peninsula. Beloved husband of 25 years to Joan; dear father of Raymond Schultz, Rick (Linda) Schultz, Robert (Gail) Schultz, Vicki Schultz, Brian Brock; proud grandfather of 14 and great-grandfather of 15; he also leaves behind his beloved dog, Sugar. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 12, 2012, at 8 p.m. at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake. The visitation hours will be Thursday from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 8 p.m; cremation will follow. Memorials suggested to the Michigan Humane Society and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
