Robert Martin Topper Sr.

Robert Martin Topper Sr., age 82, of White Lake, Michigan, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Robert was born in Detroit, Michigan on February 1, 1943 to James Leo Topper Sr. and Mildred Ruth Daigneau Topper. They preceded him in death.

Robert was a devoted family man and proud retiree of the Walled Lake School System. Robert dedicated many years of service a custodial foreman, where he was known for his strong work ethic, reliability, and friendly nature. He enjoyed golfing, bowling and he was always tackling a home improvement project. He never sat still for long and was happiest when he had a project underway. Above all, Robert cherished his family. He adored his grandchildren and treasured every moment spent with them, making countless memories filled with laughter and joy.

He is survived by his wife Sue Ellen of 59 years; his children: Robert Topper Jr., Raymond (Colleen) Topper and Timothy Topper; his grandchildren: Felix, Jade, Sable (Donnie), Sage (Josh), Jeffrey, and Catherine.

He was preceded in death by his siblings James Topper Jr., Mary Ann Talarek and Thomas Topper Sr.

The Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 pm on Sunday, September 28, 2025 at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Rd., White Lake, Michigan 48386. The family will receive guests from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Private burial will be in Christian Memorial Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Dementia Society of America.
