Rosemary Veronica Mirabito

Rosemary Veronica Mirabito, age 83, of White Lake, Michigan, passed away on August 6, 2026. She was born on May 12, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and lived a life marked by love, faith, creativity, and devotion to her family and community.

Rosemary was the beloved wife of Terry Mirabito, and the two were united in marriage on July 22, 1967, in Pennsylvania. Their marriage was a lasting partnership built on commitment, affection, and shared memories that touched every part of their family’s life. She was a devoted mother to Donna (Scott) Harris and Debbie (Jim) Puffer, and she took great pride in the family she and Terry built together. Her love extended generously to her grandchildren, Jacque (Andy) Messing, Jess (Jon) Teal, Joey (Paige) Harris, Mike Puffer, Samantha (Ben) Harrington, and Megan (Will) Altman, each of whom held a special place in her heart. She was also a cherished great-grandmother to Harrison, Elliott, Sidney, Charlotte, Jolie, Jayce, Madison, Kendall, Lucy, and Logan, and she treasured every moment spent with them. Rosemary is also survived by her sister, Betty Brady, and she was preceded in death by other siblings and her parents, Edward and Elizabeth Bushnell.

Rosemary devoted many years of service to others through her work as a paraprofessional in the Bloomfield Hills school district, where she made a lasting difference in the lives of students and staff before her retirement. Her kindness, patience, and steady presence were deeply appreciated by those who knew her in the school community. She also gave generously of her time as a volunteer at the Open-Door Store, where her willingness to help reflected the compassionate spirit that guided her throughout her life. A longtime parishioner at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, Rosemary remained faithful in her beliefs and found strength and comfort in her church community.

She lived with a creative spirit and enjoyed many hobbies that brought her joy and allowed her to share her talents with others. Rosemary loved golfing and was a member of the Orchard Lake Country Club, where she enjoyed time outdoors and the fellowship of friends. She also found satisfaction in making furniture and crafting baskets, pursuits that reflected her skill, patience, and imagination. During the winter months, she spent 14 years in Naples, Florida since 2012, where she enjoyed a warm seasonal home and the pleasures of a change in pace. Rosemary had a deep love for animals and especially enjoyed feeding squirrels, a simple act that spoke to her gentle and caring nature. Her favorite color was blue, a reflection perhaps of the calm and grace she carried throughout her life.

Most of all, Rosemary cherished time with her family. She especially loved being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and those moments brought her the greatest happiness. She was known as loving, faith-filled, and creative, and these qualities were evident in the way she cared for others and lived each day. Her warmth, her devotion, and her quiet acts of kindness left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

Rosemary will be remembered with love and gratitude by her family, friends, and all whose lives she touched. Her memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration, and her legacy of faith, generosity, and love will continue through the generations she helped nurture.

Rosemary's family will receive friends on Wednesday, August 12, 2026 from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, located at 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake, Michigan 48386.

Instate 9:00 AM until the time of Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Refuge Catholic Church, 3700 Commerce Road, West Bloomfield, Michigan 48324.

Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield, MI
