Ruth Ann Wallace

Ruth Ann Wallace, nee Radway, 88, of White Lake, Michigan, formerly of Novi, Michigan and Margate, Florida died on July 8, 2026. She is survived by Art Wallace, her husband of 45 years, and the proud mother of children Rick Sovel (Laura Powers), Jeff Sovel (Joann), and Karen Sovel (Chris Dellavecchia), grandmother of Jasmine Sovel-Charnesky (Eric), Janelle Polasek, Adam and Amy Dellavecchia, great-grandmother of Joy, Jebriel, Vivi, Journey, Jubilee, Jack and Jasper Sovel-Charnesky, Jade and Skyler Polasek, and beloved stepmother, grandmother and great-grandmother of children Diana Davidson, Laura High, Norman Wallace, Art Wallace, Steven Wallace, Amy Young, June Pittman, grandchildren Autumn Richards and Craig High, great-grandchildren Zachary Koch, Bianca, Jayson and Christopher High, Ryan, Avery and Marygold Richards, and great-great granddaughter Amelia Mae Koch; also survived by many extended family members and friends, both in Florida and Michigan. Preceded in death by the late Allison Dellavecchia, Christopher High, and David Wallace.

Ruth Ann was born in Windsor and grew up in Lansing and Detroit, graduating from Mumford High School. She lived in suburban Detroit for many years and later moved to south Florida, where she married Art Wallace and spent the next 37 years working as a bookkeeper, enjoying time spent with her Florida family and friends, and cheering on the Florida Panthers. She returned to the Detroit area in 2017, enjoying time with her Michigan family, reuniting with friends and making cherished new ones at Meadowbrook Commons. Ruth Ann was tiny in stature but big in enthusiasm for enjoying meals and activities with family and friends. She was an avid reader and a lover of dark chocolate, tea and Chinese food. Her warmth and kindness will be missed by all who knew her.

Private interment took place on July 21 at Milford Memorial Cemetery. Those wishing to honor the memory of Ruth Ann may do so by making a contribution to the American Stroke Association, American Lung Association, or the charity of your choice.
