FIELD, Samuel L., age 81, of Alpena, Michigan, born on December 20, 1930 in Pontiac, Michigan and passed on March 5, 2012 in Farmington Hills, Michigan; Beloved husband of the late Shirley Field; Loving father of Mary (Philip) Callcut, Steven (Teri) Field, Nancy Murphy, daughter-in-law Debra Field, son-in-law Chuck Murphy, and the late Russell Field; Cherished grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Dear brother of Jeanette (Ted) Myers and Judy (the late Leroy) Measel; Sam was a member at Multi Lakes Conservation Club, Commerce Masonic Lodge 121 and the Alpena Fraternal Order of Eagles. He was an avid outdoors man where he loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed paying euchre with his card group in Alpena. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm, Friday March 9, 2012, at the Union Lake Road Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home 1233 Union Lake Road White Lake, MI.
