Sandy J. Lumsden, age 71, of White Lake; passed away on October 3, 2011. Sandy was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and reading. Sandy was a member of the VFW Post 4156 Ladies Auxiliary in White Lake, Eagles Auxiliary and Goodfellows. She will be dearly missed. Beloved wife of 48 years to Norman C.; dear mother of Dawn (Larry) Goers, Daniel (the late Diana) Lumsden, William (Angie) Lumsden; grandmother of 8 and great-grandmother of three; caring sister of Kay (the late George) Reynolds, Sharon (Warren) Williams, Donnie Matheson; along with a beloved niece Miriam Balbaugh and her husband Steve as well as 2 great nephews. The Funeral Service will be Thursday, October 6, 2011, at 11:00 a.m. at the Union Lake Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 1233 Union Lake Road, White Lake. The visitation hours will be Wednesday from 2 until 8 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until service. Cremation will follow. Memorial donations to American Cancer Society; envelopes available at the funeral home.
