Sandra Kay Shaw

Sandra Kay Shaw, age 77, of White Lake, died Thursday, March 11, 2021, at her home surrounded by family. Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Chester; her three children: Dawn Rhodes, Chester (Kelly) Shaw, Jr., and Steven Shaw; her five grandchildren; her seven great-grandchildren; and her four siblings.

Sandra was born July 14, 1943, in Pontiac, the daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Donald and Evelyn (Wells) Oliver. She and Chester Shaw were married on November 30, 1963, and shared fifty-seven wonderful years together. Throughout her adult life, Sandra worked as a caregiver at local nursing facilities, but she was primarily a homemaker, taking care of her children and grandchildren as they grew up. In her free time, Sandra enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, cooking, and taking trips up north with her husband to their cabin. Most of all, Sandra loved to be around her family; especially her grandchildren! She was a wonderful woman who will be missed dearly.

Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Evelyn; and her brother, Ross.

In accordance with Sandra’s wishes, cremation has taken place. No public services have been scheduled at this time. A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date.
