

Tom is survived by his siblings: Mark (Sandy) Griffiths; Steve (Bridgett) Griffiths; Daniel Griffiths; Darlene (Jim) Faber; Kathy (Curt) Foulks; and Bill (Cyndi) Griffiths. He is also remembered by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Michael, and his nephew Timothy.
Tom graduated from Michigan State University and proudly served in the National Guard. He spent much of his life doing the things he enjoyed most. He loved sailing and fishing for salmon, and he held a special appreciation for time spent in Ludington, Michigan. He was proud of his career as a Livonia firefighter, a role that meant a great deal to him. He also owned his own decking business called All Decked Out that he was equally proud of. In his free time, he loved to vacation also enjoyed skiing and sharing stories with those around him. Known for being talkative and opinionated, he brought energy and perspective to conversations with family and friends.
He was a man of faith and remained closely connected to his Catholic beliefs throughout his life. He held a particular devotion to Fr. Solanus, whom he credited with helping him through his battle with COVID-19.
A memorial visitation will be held at Elton Black and Son Union Lake Chapel located at 1233 Union Lake Rd., White Lake, MI 48386 on April 28, 2026. Visitation be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM with a rosary and memory sharing at 6:00 PM. A Memorial Mass will follow on April 29, 2026, at 11:00 AM at St. Patrick Catholic Parish located at 9086 Hutchins Rd, White Lake, MI 48386.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen of Detroit.
