Charles P “Chuck” Spalding,., 88 electrician, retired Chance employee passed away October 25, 2013. He was born in Hutchinson, KS to Maurice and Imal (Jackson) Spalding. Chuck was a simple man that loved boats, a good garage sale, clocks, and stamps he always had a project going. He was known as the bicycle man in his neighborhood. On December 26, 1983 Charles married Jacqeline “Jackie” Geer. He is survived by his wife of 29 years Jackie Spalding, son; Dan(Gabriela-Imreh) Spalding, daughter; Lory Spalding (J) Harmon, step-sons; Charlie(Galina) Schock, Richard Schock, Joe Schock, Steve (Tess) Schock, Kevin Schock, step-daugther; Julie Brown, sister; Marjorie Tillery, one nephew, two nieces, grandchildren, Trey Harmon, Lukas Harmon, step-grandchildren; Diana, Theresa, Krystal, Tyler, Brooke, Ryan, Chris, Becca, Janella, Stephanie, 12 great-grandchildren. Visitation 5-7p.m. Monday, October 28, 2013 at Hillside Funeral Home West. Graveside Service, 11a.m. Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Resthaven Garden of Memory. In lieu of flowers memorials can be sent to Kansas Humane Society or Harden Hospice.
