Elda was born on May 28, 1920 in Caldwell, Kansas to Walter N. and Dolcia M. (Jones) Chronister. Elda was a strong independent woman who loved her family and especially enjoyed the years she worked for Senior Companions. Visitation: 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, October 28; Service: 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 29, all at Hillside Funeral Home West, 2929 W. 13th Street. Burial to follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Survived by her children: Jim (Judy) of Coralville, IA., Jo Ann of Leander, TX., Donna (Bill) of Rose Hill, Steven, Bob, Jeannie, Troy, all of Wichita; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. “Although we can’t see you, We know you are here, Smiling down on us, forever in our hearts, forever in our lives.” Memorials may be given to Senior Companions.
