Garry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Family always came first in his life. While he enjoyed many hobbies and interests, nothing brought him greater joy than spending time with those he loved.
An avid sports fan, Garry faithfully supported his beloved Kansas City Chiefs and Kansas Jayhawks basketball teams. He dedicated more than 40 years of service to Sutherland Lumber Company before retiring in 2019.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his son; and two sisters.
Garry is survived by his loving wife, Cathy Bland; his daughters, Jacki Bland, Natalie Duncan (Tim Nesbit), and Kimberly DeJarnett (Sam); three grandsons Sammy III, Dillon and Brody of Owasso, Oklahoma; his sisters, Debbie Konkel and Paula Flaherty; and many cherished friends and extended family members.

Garry will be remembered for his love of family, his loyalty, his dedication to his work, and the many lives he touched throughout his years. His memory will be treasured by all who knew and loved him.
