Gary Lee Cross, 78, died April 28, 2012, retired from the Wichita Water Department after 30 years and retired from the Air National Guard after 20 years, member of the Sunflower Masonic Lodge No. 86 and president of the MK-MVPA, born October 12, 1933 in Arkansas City, KS the son of Benjamin and Minnie May. He is survived by: wife Judith of 52 years, sons; David B. Cross, Stephen E. Cross, daughter; Sharon K. (Jason) Smith, grandchildren; Kristina (Kenneth Jr.), Chelsie, Taylor, Katelynn, Cooper and great-grandchild Logan. Proceeded in death by siblings: Benjamin, Mary, Harry, Don and Maxine Ackerman. Visitation will be 1-8 family will receive friends from 6-8 Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Hillside Funeral Home West. Funeral Services will be 10:00 AM Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at the Woodland United Methodist Church 1100 W. 15th Street North. Memorial may be made to: Mid Kansas Military Vehicle Preservation Association. Burial to follow at Old Mission Cemetery.
