

Geneva Evelyn Kerr, a remarkable woman who touched the lives of many, went to heaven peacefully in the early morning on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at the age of 99. Born on October 2, 1925, in Newton, Kansas, Geneva was one of eight children to Aron and Elizabeth (Penner) Schellenberg. Her life was marked by a strong sense of family and a deep love for her loved ones. She met and married Merle Kerr, the love of her life on September 14, 1944. Together, they built a life filled with love, devotion, and unwavering commitment to each other and their family. Geneva was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, always ready to lend a helping hand and offer support to her loved ones. She was a beautiful Christian who found joy in spending time with her family and sharing her faith. Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Kerr 2012.
Geneva’s legacy lives on through her daughter, Jody Kerr-Farquhar, and sons, Larry (Pat) Kerr and Milan (Judy) Kerr. Her family is a close-knit group of 7 grandchildren, 21 greatgrandchildren, and 3 great great-grandchildren, all of whom cherish the memories of their beloved grandmother. Geneva’s Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on August 30, 2025, at 10:00 am at Rolling Hills Community Church, located at 8605 W Maple St, Wichita, Kansas. Following the service, her burial will take place at Lamont Cemetery in Lamont, Oklahoma, at 3:00 pm.
