Geronimo Claudio Ortiz - age 73, passed away at the Robert Dole Veterans Administration Medical Center in Wichita on Sunday, October 3, 2021. He was born on October 2, 1948 in Guanica, Puerto Rico, to Gregorio Claudio and Maria Ortiz. On July 8, 1972 he was united in marriage to Guadalupe Cruz. He moved to Wichita in 1975. He worked for Boeing and E.B.Y. Construction and the former KG&E Company while living in Wichita. He served in the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Maintenance Specialist from 1968 until his honorable discharge in 1972. He enjoyed visiting with people, playing tennis and dominos, was a private pilot, and a proud Puerto Rican. He was a (poor) jokester and liked to sing songs. He was a proud grandfather and enjoyed spending time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents. Those left to cherish his memories are his wife of 49 years, Guadalupe Cruz; children Roberto Claudio (Trina), Maritza Claudio, and Marianela Aguilera (Richard); siblings Ramon Claudio (Ana), Maria Claudio (David), Ana Trujillo (Felix); and 8 grandchildren.
