Beckel, Howard, 69, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015. Howard was born October 26, 1946, in Wichita, Kansas, the son of Arthur Dean and Dorothy May (Johnson) Beckel. Howard was preceded in death by his parents; uncle, Orville Beckel; aunt, Elmetta Keaton. Survivors include: siblings, Sondra Guertin, David Beckel, Rhonda husband, Tom Talburt; nephews, Christian and wife, Jennie Weber, Tristan Beckel, all of Wichita; ex-wife, Rosa Martinez and all of her extended family; uncles, Curtis and wife, Shirley Beckel, Dan and wife, Peb Johnson; aunt, Avis Jean and husband, Bill Clark; and numerous cousins. Visitation 1 hour prior to service with family present; funeral service 2 p.m. Monday, at Hillside Funeral Home, 2929 W. 13th Street, Wichita. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with Kansas Humane Society, 3313 North Hillside, Wichita, Kansas 67219.
