Iva Marie Fullerton

Iva Marie Fullerton, 95, passed away Monday, July 4, 2016. Marie was born on June 7, 1921, in Ivanhoe, Oklahoma, the eleventh child born to Perry Bertram and Effie Delila Drusella (Woodworth) Perkins. On August 1, 1942, she married Billy C. Fullerton in Edmond, Oklahoma, and to this union were born three beautiful children, James, Phillip, and Marilyn. Marie's most important focus in life was her faith and her family. She was a retired Wichita Public school teacher at Field and Cloud Elementaries, touching many lives throughout her career and her love of children. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and siblings, Crystal, Olive, Rachel, Clarence, Everett, Ray, Lillian, George, Ivan, Earl, and Ruth. Survivors inlcude: her three children and their spouses, Jim and wife, Tricia Fullerton, St. James, Missouri, Phillip and wife, Connie Fullerton, Marilyn and husband, William Akin, all of Wichita, Kansas; 8 grandchildren and their spouses, Marc and wife, Krystal Akin, Jonathan Akin, Ron and wife, Tracy Fullerton, Aaron and wife, Angela Fullerton, Stacie and husband, Gary Jeffery, Jenny and husband, Craig Zucker, Angela and husband, Kevin Larcom, and Jeremy and wife, Christy Fullerton; 16 great grandchildren, Alexandria, Cody, Racheal, Kalon, Jake, Galan, Kyrie, Rain, Wyeth, Taryn, Ben, Sam, Brydan, Skyla, Ethan, and Hannah; 4 great-great grandchildren, Nicole, Ben, Kiara, and Vivian. Visitation 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at Hillside Funeral Home - West, 2929 West 13th Street North, Wichita, with family present. Funeral service 10 a.m. Friday, July 8, at Pathway Church, 2001 North Maize Road, Wichita. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Oatville. In lieu of flowers, memorials have been established with Music Theatre for Young People and Wichita Children's Home.
