Jerry Schrag

Jerry Schrag, passed away after a long battle with illness on July 23, 2016. As a young farm boy in Kingman, KS Jerry was fascinated by flight. He went off to college and received a B.S. in Aero Engineering and M.A. in Economics at WSU. Jerry worked for both Cessna and Boeing Co. Jerry retired after 24 years of service with Boeing Aircraft Co. in 2005, where he performed duties as a liaison engineer. He attended Sunday School at First United Methodist Church, Wichita, KS and Jerry frequently met with friends in a meditation group. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Edna Schrag. He is survived by wife, Pam Schrag; sons, Michael and Geoffrey; sisters, Patricia Orcutt, Karen Matthews, Janet Harris; daughter-in-law Joezet Shirley-Schrag, and granddaughter, Lydia Schrag. Memorials will be with the Wichita Humane Society and First United Methodist Church. Visitation: 6:30-8:00 p.m. Friday, July 29 at Hillside Funeral Home West. Memorial Service: 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 30, at First United Methodist Church, Wichita, KS.
