He was an avid diver, and artist. He is well known for his underwater photography, and working with sandstone to create framed art pieces. He had the biggest heart and was a joy to be around. He could make almost anyone laugh until it hurts.
John and his soulmate of 40 years, Joanne McLelland, tragically passed away together, but are reunited in heaven.
He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Michelle Doffing; and cousin, Ron Sanders.
He is survived by his mother; family, Jeff and Shari Doffing, Rick and Carol Turner, and Charlie and Nancy Wilkinson, Emily Doffing, Eric and Ariel Wilkinson; and many loving friends.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Home West, 2929 West 13th Street North, Wichita, KS 67203.
