John Charles Young,.35 passed away March 26, 2012.John Charles Young was born in Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri on January 10, 1977. He was named after both of his grandfathers, John Young and Charles Shull. He was the first born child of Robert and Lori Young. He has one sister, Allison Young. As a child, John was athletic and light-hearted. He excelled at sports, soccer being his favorite. John was the sparkle in his mother's eye and his father's pride and joy. Family time for the Youngs included dinners at the table, with Allison asking her mother to make Lasagne because she knew that John hated it. During those days, the home was filled with music. John and Allison would sit with their parents while Dad played the guitar and Mom played the piano. They would all sing Neil Young songs together. John was an easy spirited young boy who loved to laugh and make others laugh. He made friends easily and the friends he made as a boy have been there into his adult life. John was a leader among his friends and in his jobs. He had a soft spot for animals and felt a connection to his pets.
John had dreams of being important in this world. He always said that he wanted to be known, appreciated, and important. He never felt like he met that dream, but he did. He will never know the effect he had on others' lives. He may never know that his sister idolized him. Those who know him can't help but love him. Those of us who have been blessed by his presence, his humor, his bashful smile and his beautiful sad eyes will never be the same without him. John has left an impression on this world and he will always be remembered and appreciated for the man he was. My Nino Grande (Big Boy), John Charles Young. Memorial Service will be held 10:00a.m. Friday March 30, 2012 at Hillside Funeral Home West.
