Larry Martin Peak, age 71, born in Wichita, KS in 1945, succumbed to non-Hodgkin lymphoma on March 14. Larry established a successful private mental health practice in Manhattan, KS followed by working as a counselor and teacher at the Episcopal Social Services in Wichita, KS. He loved to drive his 442, listen and dance to the blues, sip a glass of white wine, watch KSU sports, and work his crossword puzzles. Larry dearly loved his four sons Brian, Christopher, Nathan, and Nicholas, their beautiful wives Kellie, Michele, Alison, and Tracy, his three grandchildren Connor, Lauren, and Alana, and his wife Suzie. He cherished his mother Betty Peak, his late father Johnny Martin, his brother Roger, and his best friend Bob Couchman. He was a quiet, gentle, decent man and he is now at peace in the arms of the universe. A special thanks to Larry’s doctors Jeremy Deutsch, Krista Shackelford, Grant Rine, and Arthur Windholz who took such good care of him. To remember Larry, please give to the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S Market, Wichita, KS, 67202.
In celebration of Larry, the family will watch March Madness, drink beer, and exchange stories just as he would want.
