LaVerna Canaday., 83 passed away Sunday May 27, 2012. LaVerna was born in Floydada TX, to J.C. and Gladys (Welch) James. Throughout LaVerna’s life she owned several businesses as well as being a wonderful wife, mother and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, 1 brother, and 2 sisters. LaVerna is survived by her husband; Jack of 56 years, son; Wesley Canaday, daughters; LaNeil (Jim) Banks, DeNise (Jim) Miller, sister; Helen Harrison, 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. Visitation 1-8p.m. with family present from 6-8p.m. Wednesday, May 30, 2012. Funeral Service 2:00p.m. Thursday, May 31, 2012 all at Hillside Funeral Home West with burial to follow at Kechi Cemetery.
