Wichita, Kansas – Lawrence Gene Vaughn, 84, husband, father, grandfather, friend and neighbor. Lawrence G. Vaughn passed away in his home on December 5th, 2020. A memorial will be held in his home on December 19th, 2020 from 12pm to 6pm. There will be a follow up service in Edwardsville Cemetery in spring 2021. In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to Homes For Our Troops (HFOT). Lawrence was born Mar. 7, 1936 in Wyandotte County, KS. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and a wonderful friend. Like his wife, he was always there for those in need. He served in the military, engineered structures and equipment, and was always there to help out his family and neighbors with any home or car troubles. He will be greatly missed by all those that knew him. Lawrence was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Patricia A. Vaughn; his parents, Henry and Alice Vaughn; his siblings, Arthur Vaughn, Henry Vaughn, Bill Vaughn. He is survived by his siblings, Joan Sweet, Louise Tolly, Evelyn Buck, Raymond Vaughn, John Vaughn; his son Kevin Vaughn, Montrose, MO; daughters Arlene Vaughn, Newton, KS; Christina Lyle, Wichita, KS; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
