Leona Mae Suiter, born in Sugar City, CO, October 21, 1927, age 95. She went to join her precious Lord and Savior on January 17, 2023. Leona married the love of her life, Ray Suiter, April 17, 1949. They shared 70 beautiful years together, before his passing in 2020. Leona was an example of Christ’s love. She loved Jesus with all her heart and shared her love of Him any chance she had. She always wanted to make sure her loved ones knew Him personally and she was a prayer warrior. Leona was a long time member of Derby Friends Church before moving to the Kansas City area. Leona had a love and passion for flowers and being outside in the flower garden. She loved to sit outdoors and read her Bible and pray. Her whole life was about loving on her family. She loved her daughter, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She always wanted to make sure they knew she loved them. She beamed with pride speaking of any of them. Leona shown with grace and God’s love. She will always be remembered for her love for her Lord and her smile. She is survived by her daughter Sharon Key, grandson Bryan Key, and wife Andrea, granddaughter Heather Jeremiah and husband Dwayne, 4 great-grandsons Brady and Alex Key and Devin and Dylan Jeremiah. She was preceded in death by her parents, 4 sisters, 3 brothers, son-in-law Ed Key, and grandson Jeremy Key. Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Derby Friends Church, 1034 N.
