Jimenez, Leo A. Jr., “Smokey,” 67, loving husband, father, and “Papa,” passed away peacefully with his family present on Sun., Oct. 23, 2011. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Leopoldo and Isabel Jimenez, a sister Phyllis Rodriguez and brother Manuel Jimenez. Survivors include his wife Iris, brothers Louis (Vonda) and Charles Jimenez; sister Loretta Steineger of Missouri; daughters Ursula (John) Dickerson and Arianne Koehn; three grandchildren Tiarrah, Kayla and Skyler; and two great grandchildren Elijah and Lyrik. After being a local drummer for many years in local bands such as “Ronnie and the InCrowd,” Smokey had a career in metal treatment, retiring from Air Capitol Plating in 1997. He was also active in martial arts, photography, music and was a devoted animal rights believer. Everyone who knew Smokey will remember him for his fun loving sense of humor and quick wit.
